Introducing Painting 101, an upbeat, beginner-friendly 8-week course for anyone who wants to learn the basics of painting while still keeping the Twist’s signature fun, relaxed atmosphere. This is still Fun Art, not Fine Art—but perfect for those who want to explore real painting techniques, understand color theory, and gain confidence on the canvas. Each 3-hour session is instructor-led, fully hands-on, and BYOB, making it the ideal way to develop a creative hobby surrounded by great people.
Over 8 weeks, you’ll explore color theory, brushwork, shading, and composition while completing a variety of fun, guided projects that build your skills without ever feeling overwhelming. You’ll learn how to use the color wheel, mix and balance hues, work with light and shadow, and create depth in still life and landscapes. Along the way, you’ll experiment with texture, blending, and acrylic effects—each week introducing a new layer of skill and creative confidence.
By the end of the course, you’ll complete a final painting that brings together everything you’ve learned—your own “mini masterpiece” to show how far you’ve come. Our instructors will guide you step-by-step, offering support and feedback while keeping the class lighthearted and social.
